How to create a WiFi QR code
- Open the generator and choose WiFi network.
- Enter the network name exactly as it appears, select WPA/WPA2, WEP, or Open, and add the password when required.
- Mark the network as hidden if it does not broadcast its name.
- Scan the preview with a second device, then download PNG, JPG, or SVG.
Privacy note: WiFi credentials are sensitive. Honest QR Code processes them in your browser and the production security policy blocks outbound app connections. Anyone who can scan the finished QR code can read those credentials, so display it only where appropriate.
Will a WiFi QR code expire?
No. It is a static code containing the network configuration. It does not call an Honest QR Code redirect. It will keep working until you change the network name, security type, or password.
Where WiFi QR codes help
They are useful for guest networks in homes, cafés, holiday rentals, offices, clinics, studios, and events. Print a tested code near the entrance or include it in a welcome guide. Use a separate guest network rather than exposing credentials for internal devices.
